Hello! As things open up and we start hosting things in person again, I am realizing I will not be able to maintain a daily Bible time.
Please weigh in on how you feel. What do you think about continuing with an online ongoing Bible study where at the beginning of the week, I post all the verses for the week by day. Those who can jump on live to discuss, go for it. I will likely pop in early or late in the day to add my comments before and after. I love hearing everyones’ insights. Thoughts?

Good morning. Yes a gorgeous day, looking forward to being out in the garden too. Missed the study yesterday and my day just did not seem right. Will post my thoughts about what you are thinking at the end of this post today.

We can think of another time window potentially too… midday is turning out to be so full of distractions that it is hard to focus during this time right now.
vs 21 Oh what a glorious time this will be… To see the earth and the heavenly abode of the Lord together. Oh Lord, etch this image in my heart and mind so it is seared permanently in my heart.

“32 Behold, the hour cometh, yea, is now come, that ye shall be scattered, every man to his own, and shall leave me alone: and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me.
33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”
I keep coming back to this verse over and over again. I feel like God is calling me to mentally rehearse over and over again the whole playing out of the time to come so that I will never be overcome by what is going on in the world. Jesus has overcome PERIOD. In the windows where it looks like darkness is prevailing, this is our great comfort.
Yes I agree with you Lisa and want my focus to be on this, not on what is going on the world, no matter whether it is good or bad.

LOL. We are on the Hebrew letter KUF… it means circle, cycle, eternal… Jesus is the eternal one and yes.. full circle.. total utter redemption. Thankfully that this one will be complete, never to repeat again. Eternity free from pain, sin and death. PRAISE THE LORD!!!
These verses are so encouraging, that after all the mayhem and destruction He is going to wipe away every tear, there will be no mourning and He will be our God and we will be His children. Interesting in vs. There is a lake that burns with fire and sulfur. This is the opposite of the sea of glass that the saints will be worshipping on, but it is interesting they are both bodies of water, one of life and one of death.

vs 5. I love that we are made new, everything made new. LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS. No repaired, weakened patchwork business here. BRAND NEW, forever new. and being renewed
vs 7 and 8 makes it crystal clear that God gives us full responsibility for our end. Those who choose Him partakers of all of these things… some things in 8 are somewhat shocking.. cowardly (listed as a sin), unbelieving (listed as a sin.. the rest we kind of get. but to see fear and unbelief listed as capital sins is jarring

He will give FREELY to him who is thirsty. I love that, just like He freely gives to us the gift of salvation.

Have heard testimonies of a few people who have been taken to heaven and their descriptions are similar to what is being described here. The also say that there really not words to adequately describe what they saw.

There must be no dirt in the heavenl city… for everything to be so brilliant… so pure, and pristine…
Keep coming back to that there will be no place that we can set our eyes that isn’t just breathtakingly beautiful and awe inspiriing. Everything will continue call forth awe of the Lord from our being. No wonder we will be joyfull and in constant worship wherever we go… So incomprehensible for my mind and yet so so so encouraging

vs 27 Nothing profane can enter it. Do you think that we can have that here on earth in our temples? Do you think we can become immune to the profane or barr them from entering our homes? I heard the testimony of Wigglesworth that a friend came to his home and said he had diabetes. Wigglesworth assured him as long as he was in his home, it would not affect him at all. It was like the diabetes had to remain outside and had no authority to follow the man in. It resumed when he left. quite something. Also of note, Wigglesworth took the Word so literally, he would not permit a newspaper in his home. What are you thoughts on this? Are we too lenient with out gates?

This is just so amazing to think about. We won’t have to have our guard up and wonder about people or beings, we will not have any fear of being deceived or hurt or taken advantage of. Wow. No wonder Paul was conflicted about whether he should stay or go to be with the Lord.

Come Lord Jesus come and quickly….. God’s timeline’s are fascinating. “Soon” how I wonder when soon is. Regardless that my lamp would be full and my heart and life purified.
I’m sure that is a question that the disciples had as well, when is soon?

How beyond wondrous. All the laws of physics etc different in so many radical ways. No sunburns, ability to see clearly all the time, darkness will no longer inhibit our vision and senses.
Curious what the 12 fruits are.. 9 fruit of the Spirit… Lord I would love to know, in Jesus name.

I’ve always loved this verse, because it means that this being was so like God that John through he was. Is that what will happen when we see Him as He is we will be like Him? We will be so like Him and one with Him, it will be hard to distinguish who is who.

Yes this was a wonderful study this morning, so much to think on and ponder and be encouraged by.
For Rob and me whatever works for you Lisa is good for us. If you want to put up the verses at the beginning of the week and we all do it when the timing works for each person that would be great. What would be a better time for you in case that works for Rob and me as well and we can all be on together. It may be that we are on together sometimes and not others, but can always read the comments. Finding this so beneficial, thank you so much Lisa.
