Good morning Saints!!! Today we will finish up Isaiah 53 and then move on to Luke 23 and 24 about the death and resurrection of Christ. Next week I plan to focus on the passover and the Lord’s Supper Verses.
Praying in Unity: Please share the things God has you praying for our nation right below this comment so that we can pray in unity on these things.
I am praying Psalm 64 and 65 but also praying for a stay, an extension to allow more time to see the harvest come… I have been thinking of Hezekiah.. Still repenting for outselves and the nation for the innocent blood shed and the abominations committed against the Lord. Also praying for revelation to God’s people of His faithfulness and that anticipation at His return would usher in excitement and joy and a focus on being prepared for out Groom.
Ex 12:12 For I [the Lord] will pass through the land of Egypt on this night, and will strike down all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and animal; against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgments [exhibiting their worthlessness].
Numb 334 while the Egyptians were burying all their firstborn whom the Lord had struck down among them. Upon their gods the Lord also executed judgments.
My prayer is that while we boldly press in to the Lord God, with repentance for ourselves and nation, God is judging all the gods of this world to free all the captives that have been blinded by those gods.
Rob.
We have book here called “Murdered Heiress, Living Witness” by a lady name Petti. As an heiress, she was targetted for her money. Her testimony is incredibly encouraging and really demonstrates the vengeance of God poured out against those who plotted against her. God is absolutely not letting anyone get away with anything. There will be an accounting and as ministers of reconciliation we can have major impact in this regard. This brings Jonah to mind. Mind you, that means having the courage to confront people and warn them. With censorship and peer pressure, not sure how many are ready to face the scorn of others in this season
There is a recent example of this in U.S. the owner of My Pillow his name is Mike Lindell. He has an amazing testimony coming from being a huge drug addict to coming to know the Lord Jesus and dedicating his life and created this incredibly successful company. He has turned over one of his factories to making masks for the country. President Trump brought him to one of the press conferences to tell of what he is doing and thanking him for it as he has done for other companies. Mike asked the president if he could say something off the cuff and he was given the go ahead and basically witnessed to the nation and told them to use their time to read the scriptures and turn back to God etc. It was amazing, but the backlash from the media was amazing swift and vile. Mike was a bit taken aback but does not care and said he has received amazing support from so many and will not back down when he was interviewed the next day by a Christian reporter on Fox. It’s on Utube if you want to watch it. It was Monday’s press conference and then next day on Fox. Both are there.

Praying for people to turn back to the Lord and for a surge in this country of people seeking His face and crying out to Him. Praying 2Chronicles 7:14 Praying for hedges of protection around all the front line people. Healing for the sick.
Wendy
Good morning!!
Rob
Isaiah 53 (AMPC)10 Yet it was the will of the Lord to bruise Him; He has put Him to grief and made Him sick. When You and He make His life an offering for sin [and He has risen from the dead, in time to come], He shall see His [spiritual] offspring, He shall prolong His days, and the will and pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in His hand.
11 He shall see [the fruit] of the travail of His soul and be satisfied; by His knowledge of Himself [which He possesses and imparts to others] shall My [uncompromisingly] righteous One, My Servant, justify many and make many righteous (upright and in right standing with God), for He shall bear their iniquities and their guilt [with the consequences, says the Lord].
12 Therefore will I divide Him a portion with the great [kings and rulers], and He shall divide the spoil with the mighty, because He poured out His life unto death, and [He let Himself] be regarded as a criminal and be numbered with the transgressors; yet He bore [and took away] the sin of many and made intercession for the transgressors (the rebellious).
vs 12 … knocks my socks off. He did all of this for people who did not deserve it and who were activily in rebellion. If we are to live like Him, we really need a revelation of him.
Good morning. So thankful for the sunshine again.
Wendy
God’s purpose unveiled.
vs 10 ….If [f]He would give Himself as a guilt offering [an atonement for sin],
He shall see His [spiritual] offspring,
He shall prolong His days,
And the will (good pleasure) of the Lord shall succeed and prosper in His hand. Amp
Rob
AMEN!!!! YES!!!
Yes Rob ! Was just typing out exactly the same ..so I just echo that the ‘good pleasure of the Lord SHALL SUCCEED and prosper in His Hand!!
KC
I think that Isaiah 55:11 is a good compliment to this as God says He WILL get what He desires.
“So will My word be which goes out of My mouth; it will not return to Me void(useless, with out result), Without accomplishing what I desire, and without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it.” Such an amazing promise.
Wendy
Amen!
Good morning!
I too am repenting for our nation, for innocent blood spilled and asking in this time of less distractions ,that hunger and desire would well up in the hearts of His people to seek him not out of fear but out of true desire to know Him.That the ‘gods’ we have served with unawareness would be exposed to our own hearts and lead to corporate repentance.KC
VS 11 So motivates me. I want to understand what Jesus accomplished and then go for receiving the fullness of each and everything He paid for. This verse tells me that Jesus will experience satisfaction if I receive what He has done. THIS is why I am so so so passionate about healing, about deliverance and about the Word of God
I have such a drive for Him to Have his reward ,His satisfaction and pleasure in the relationship He has opened up for us fulfilled !
Next passage.. jumping from prophecy about Jesus to actual events Luke 23 World English Bible (WEB)
23 The whole company of them rose up and brought him before Pilate. 2 They began to accuse him, saying, “We found this man perverting the nation, forbidding paying taxes to Caesar, and saying that he himself is Christ, a king.” 3 Pilate asked him, “Are you the King of the Jews?”He answered him, “So you say.” 4 Pilate said to the chief priests and the multitudes, “I find no basis for a charge against this man.”
5 But they insisted, saying, “He stirs up the people, teaching throughout all Judea, beginning from Galilee even to this place.” 6 But when Pilate heard Galilee mentioned, he asked if the man was a Galilean. 7 When he found out that he was in Herod’s jurisdiction, he sent him to Herod, who was also in Jerusalem during those days.”
How people responded to Jesus (the perfect and exact representation of God) always astonishes me (my own responses to Him included). He was so perfectly good, “went about doing good and healing all oppressed of the devil ” and yet because He was a threat to human ideas and agendas they had no tolerance for Him and wanted Him gone. The cost of life in Christ is death to life of self.
6 But when Pilate heard Galilee mentioned, he asked if the man was a Galilean. 7 When he found out that he was in Herod’s jurisdiction, he sent him to Herod, who was also in Jerusalem during those days.”
Pass the buck and shallow.
Rob
Yah its like Pilate inwardly knew the whole thing going down was wrong but just didn’t want to take responsibility..KC
Strange, but I actually find it comforting that the whole process looked so bleak and so discouraging, even though the authorities found no fault in Him, even though He was wrongfully persecuted and even to the point of death He submitted…. God’s plan was playing out and came fully to pass. The authorities of darkness simply cannot prevail.
Amen. That is such a comfort knowing what the enemy would scheme for destruction actually brought about God’s perfect plan. I will try and find the verse where it says “ if Satan had know he would not have killed Jesus. So even that is comforting because Satan does not have the perception to know that his plans will be used by God and actually accomplish God’s will.
Wendy
I have always found it interesting Pilot’s response. He knew that Jesus was innocent, but he would not stand up to the Leaders of the day or the people. Instead he passed the buck over to Herod, hoping that he could get out of having to make a decision. I pray that if that time comes for me to stand up for a righteous man or woman that I would have the courage to stand up and not be afraid of the reaction.
Wendy
Just looked up something and this verse popped out, thank you for this Lord. Psalms 119:11 Your word I have treasured and stored in my heart, that I may not sin against You.
Wendy
Amen!
I have been thinking about this too. I feel like I am witnessing this in these days. i am talking to neighbours, many realize that all of this is crazy on some level.. most understand that this is totally unsustainable and yet the I think, minority that bound with fear are silencing the masses. I am praying that we would remember our roots and that freedom is something that many many people have gone to war over and laid down their lives to uphold. I am praying for our prime minister and for our future government. It is possible Canada, if we can remain a christian nation, might have to stand alone in the face of a one world government.
The force of the crowd mobilized by fear and hysteria. Repeating theme.
Yes!
Yes, Lance Wallneau sure keeps speaking to this point regarding believers in the states,…..
KC
The perception of his accusers reveals how Satan twists the message and is freighted with LIes ..not unlike some of the the media today.
KC
Skipping ahead a wee bit, next passage Luke 23 (WEB) “13 Pilate called together the chief priests, the rulers, and the people, 14 and said to them, “You brought this man to me as one that perverts the people, and behold, having examined him before you, I found no basis for a charge against this man concerning those things of which you accuse him. 15 Neither has Herod, for I sent you to him, and see, nothing worthy of death has been done by him. 16 I will therefore chastise him and release him.” 17 Now he had to release one prisoner to them at the feast. 18 But they all cried out together, saying, “Away with this man! Release to us Barabbas!”— 19 one who was thrown into prison for a certain revolt in the city, and for murder. 20 Then Pilate spoke to them again, wanting to release Jesus, 21 but they shouted, saying, “Crucify! Crucify him!” 22 He said to them the third time, “Why? What evil has this man done? I have found no capital crime in him. I will therefore chastise him and release him.” 23 But they were urgent with loud voices, asking that he might be crucified. Their voices and the voices of the chief priests prevailed. 24 Pilate decreed that what they asked for should be done. 25 He released him who had been thrown into prison for insurrection and murder, for whom they asked, but he delivered Jesus up to their will.”
Vs 23-24 clealy they could produce no rational reason for their accusation so they just shouted and blustered all the louder. And sadly the authorities caved. Truly we must pray that the silent majority speaks up and that a voice of rational and reason can prevail in these circumstances. I am praying for president Trump in these times as he is one of the few who seems to have the ability to consider the economic fallout and other long term fallout of an extended time of quarantine.
Amen! WR
23 But they were urgent with loud voices, asking that he might be crucified. Their voices and the voices of the chief priests prevailed.
Driven by the accuser to incite destruction. Reminds me of satan trying to incite God against Job.
Rob
Absolutely. 2 Timothy 2:24-26 King James Version (KJV) “24 And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient,25 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; 26 And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.”
This scripture makes it plain that acknowledging the truth (Jesus is Lord and that we must submit to God in reverence being part of that truth) and repentance are absolutely essential. Otherwise, we can be taken captive and used by Satan at his will.
Mob rule! They wanted the murderer and one who had incited insurrection released, but asked that Jesus be put to death. The one who had done no wrong or sinned at all. So reflective of this day we are living in. The truth is seen as a lie, and a lie as the truth. Amazing.
Wendy
I feel like we are witnessing this today
For sure. WR
Mob ruler and a very weak leader…who tried to point out that He could find no wrongdoing yet caved to the loud voices of the people. If I’m understanding correctly Its not like he had to protect his political position as it wasn’t a democracy….how did the religiousvoices of the time have such powers of persuasion? KC
Motivates me all the more to pray for our leaders but especially for Gods will to prevail in the political scene in the U.S. as God has for a long time put in our hearts to pray for the U.S. KC
I agree Karen we do need to pray for U.S. because we are so closely tied in many many ways. Just like the old saying, when the Elephant roles over the ant feels it!!
Wendy
Luke 23: WEB”26 When they led him away, they grabbed one Simon of Cyrene, coming from the country, and laid on him the cross, to carry it after Jesus. 27 A great multitude of the people followed him, including women who also mourned and lamented him. 28 But Jesus, turning to them, said, “Daughters of Jerusalem, don’t weep for me, but weep for yourselves and for your children. 29 For behold, the days are coming in which they will say, ‘Blessed are the barren, the wombs that never bore, and the breasts that never nursed.’ 30 Then they will begin to tell the mountains, ‘Fall on us!’ and tell the hills, ‘Cover us.’Hosea 10:8 31 For if they do these things in the green tree, what will be done in the dry?” 32 There were also others, two criminals, led with him to be put to death. 33 When they came to the place that is called “The Skull”, they crucified him there with the criminals, one on the right and the other on the left. 34 Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they don’t know what they are doing.”
Oh the astonishing mercy and compassion of God. Even in the midst of His agony, He was able to never lose track of others and the suffering that they would face. There is a verse that talks about how their hearts failed the out of fear. Jesus clearly kept His focus on the end result and the future joy and glory awaiting Him.. We need to keep our eyes on our eternity and our hearts fixed on living in obedience with Him.
So in agreement with this Lisa …its the only way to walk through these times is with a fixed focus and a heart to see His will done on earth as is it is in heaven and to know that He has purposed to move through us the weak to reveal His glory and strength as Lord of Lords and King of Kings!
KC
Eph 6:12 Amp
For our struggle is not against flesh and blood [contending only with physical opponents], but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this [present] darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) places.
God, forever judge the gods of this world that have incited, deceived and blinded mankind to the Love and Purpose of God.
Rob
I had to repent today for getting drawn into what “they” are saying. Yes, there are a lot of conclusions one can rationally come to based on very concrete facts and some very convincing evidence. That said, with God all things are possible. I am finding I have to guard my heart more carefully and what words I speak. As we join together as a christian body to pray against the shadows of darkness being cast across the world right now, we can see radical shifts.. just like in the time of Daniel, Esther, Joseph etc. We can potentially move from a position of almost assured persecution to a place of honour and pre-eminence. This is very very encouraging.
Just did a quick Biblegateway search of the word snare https://www.biblegateway.com/quicksearch/?quicksearch=snare&qs_version=WEB God has always been faithful and is faithful today.
20 But [we are different, because] our citizenship is in heaven. And from there we eagerly await [the coming of] the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ;
Just a thought.
Rob
Amen Rob, yes, we are different.. our lives should be marked with praise, joy and peace and thanksgiving in this season. God made water come out of the rock and provided manna from heaven. Regardless of how dry and bleak it looks, God is faithful and able.
I have always been so blown away but the response of Jesus when He asks the Father to forgive them for they know not what they do. Even in the face of what they had done to Him, He could say that. He obviously had such an awareness of the principalities and powers that were at work and realized that the people were being held captive and blinded by those forces. I have to continually remind myself of this when I feel myself getting caught up in the “people” I pray for my response to be what Jesus said and have it truly from my heart and spirit.
Wendy
Luke 23 (wEB)Dividing his garments among them, they cast lots. 35 The people stood watching. The rulers with them also scoffed at him, saying, “He saved others. Let him save himself, if this is the Christ of God, his chosen one!”36 The soldiers also mocked him, coming to him and offering him vinegar, 37 and saying, “If you are the King of the Jews, save yourself!” 38 An inscription was also written over him in letters of Greek, Latin, and Hebrew: “THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS.” 39 One of the criminals who was hanged insulted him, saying, “If you are the Christ, save yourself and us!” 40 But the other answered, and rebuking him said, “Don’t you even fear God, seeing you are under the same condemnation? 41 And we indeed justly, for we receive the due reward for our deeds, but this man has done nothing wrong.” 42 He said to Jesus, “Lord, remember me when you come into your Kingdom.” 43 Jesus said to him, “Assuredly I tell you, today you will be with me in Paradise.”
39 One of the criminals who was hanged insulted him, saying, “If you are the Christ, save yourself and us!”
Reminds me of how satan spoke to Jesus in the wilderness.
Rob
Yes!
I find it interesting that one of the criminals insulted Him and the other one saw who He was and asked to be with Him in His Kingdom, and Jesus even in that time of agony for Him assured him that would happen. Such mercy and love. Gives me hope and love Him all the more.
Wendy
A visual picture of Christ in the middle with the voice of humility ,recognition of being a sinner and his need and the voice of arrogance ,mocking and refusal to bow to the end. Sums up the war in the spirit realm. KC
Have a blessed Friday friends. We are committed to more garden work. Love and hugs,
Love to you all. Have a blessed day. We will be celebrating Shabbat this evening. See you Sunday.

Thanks Lisa ! Enjoy the sun!
