Well, Whole, Healed… a testimony of healing and the work of the Holy Spirit

Hello!   So Here is the sum up.   At 11:30pm last night, Our 5-year-old woke up complaining of pain and soreness in his abdomen…  It was distended and rock hard and he said it especially hurt around his belly button.   My DH was up with him for the first hour.  When I arrived he was rolling in pain, could not stay still.   We prayed and poured every bit of leading I got over him… and he was still rolling.     We decided to send him to the hospital… likely around 1:15am..  We called the ambulance as strapping him into a car seat seemed like a bad option and we didn’t of course know what the problem was.
Praise the Lord for godly counsel.     I prayed and got the verses to rest and stay in the secret place, that the battle was the Lords.   I was amazed by the supernatural peace of God and lay down to sleep and rest, actually resisting the urge to pray and fight.   I was pondering the verses we had shared earlier on Tuesday about Peter walking on the water.    I actually saw then Jesus walking towards us with his hand extended and He said this “Well, whole, healed” laying his hands on our son..  This was at 1:48am.  I wasn’t sure whether this was what we needed to do or what Jesus had already done so I prayed some more and got the impression I was to wait for my DH to call with an update from the hospital.   I then thought of the verse that said I do only what I see the Father doing in heaven and I was thinking how powerful to be able to see what Jesus has done and then to do exactly as He did.  At the end of this blessed night, the first thing I did when my precious boy arrived home at 4:30am was to lay my hands on him and speak the same words.
Before drifting off to sleep myself, the Comforter, the Holy Spirit ministered to me so sweetly.  He brought to my remembrance snippets of conversations, scriptures, words of encouragement, teachings etc that He had been equipping me with over the last 2 weeks and specifically earlier that day.   I found myself pondering the miracle of Jesus walking on water through the storm and sleeping in the midst of the storm in the boat when the disciples were afraid of drowning.    This part is what I think was revealed to me (I can’t say whether or not this is scriptural)… I got that Jesus wasn’t remotely concerned or upset or worried about the wind and the waves…. not only was He the author of these things, and did He knew his authority to calm them… they simply had zero power to hurt Him in any way.   This also by a complete total knowing and understanding, not by a hope, but absolute knowledge it was so.   Also complete total trust in His own Word and His own promise.     Jesus was the only one whose activity/response to the circumstances actually was logical and made sense in light of God’s sure promise.    My thoughts before drifting off to sleep last night, after asking God to knock me out so I wouldn`t have to fight the temptations to think the wrong thoughts, was that Jesus was in our boat, and that everyone in the boat with him including myself, baby, hubby and kids were perfectly safe and how absolutely appropriate it was to lie down and sleep with Jesus even though the storm was seemingly still raging on.   The knowing had settled though, my son was well, healed and whole.
Jesus didn’t need to look and feel His surroundings to feel or look calm to trust God implicitly… He could walk on water right through the storm.  This made me realize to do as Jesus did, I want to be in this same place, the secret place, the knowing place, the totally trusting the Father place…. He could do this as He understood that there was zero risk, that He was completely safe and completely protected… TOTAL TRUST.
Turns out there is a gastro virus going around that causes these symptoms.   My DH thinks about 40 minutes after they left, our son suddenly was able to get all the yuck out of his system and then perked right up.  So around the time all of this was being revealed to me, his health turned and radically improved.     No medicine or intervention had been given.  They were kept for a while longer and arrived home.   Our son now almost energetic and very hungry, was changed and tucked into bed where he slept blessedly to 11am.  Praise God for healing my son and for faithfully wrapping me in this peace.

  1. How faithful is God… My dear friend, one who actually listened to my phone message at 1AM and faithfully started praying for our family, also had a word from God that our son was whole and healed…. She notes the time when she hears something specific… 1:53AM was when she was told that he was healed and she could sleep now…. PRAISE GOD!!!! So awesome!!!
