Growing up into the full measure of Christ (Including preaching the Gospel, healing the sick and setting the captives free) & Embracing our New Identity in Him

I find verses 16-18 especially interesting…. Isn’t it wonderful that the Lord has equipped us with the ability to discern false teaching? But their is a condition.. Those who want to do the will of God.
Conditional statements are so very common in the Bible. Surely we must meet the condition in order to receive the blessing and how very often the condition is simply left off when we speak the promises of God.
Also verse 29 is fascinating.. “no one laid a hand on him, because his time had not yet come”. There are several reminders throughout the Bible that Jesus laid down His own life.. No one had the ability to take it from Him.
We hear Paul mention this too, that he would be willing to lay down his life for others, and seemingly all the disciples had this willingness as the continually entered into perilous situations in order to complete the work assigned to them.
