Hiding the Word in our Hearts Series: Week 1 Jeremiah (approx 4 hours) and then starting Ezekiel (30 min)

Blessings Saints!  We are back online now that our family vacation time is over.   I have had time to pray and meditate on the next steps.

I feel an urgency to “hide God’s Word in my heart” and to read through the entire Bible before the end of 2020.    So we plan to listen to scripture 45 minutes a day either via a website like Biblegateway.com or by reading out loud as a family.  I am highlighting what stands out as we go and then going back through privately before bed to copy out key passages and meditate on them or write notes in the margins of my Bible. Perhaps there are others who would like to “join us” in the Spirit and share the highlights here of what you see each day or each week.

This week we are starting with Jeremiah and then we plan to do Ezekiel.

This will build up unity in our community and grow oneness in our thinking as well.

Easy steps:

  1. Listen to scripture for 45 minutes per day, 5 days per week
  2. Underline and highlight as you go
  3. Review what you have underlined and either copy or write notes in the margin

This process should get us through the entire Bible before the end of December 2020.

So for anyone who has ever thought reading through the whole Bible is something they would like to do, this is a perfect time to share the journey with others.

Tuesday June 15, 2020 Exodus 15 and 16

Good morning!  I just received an update on my email indicating that they will be reviewing the contents for marketting etc purposes.   I do encourage everyone to remember that these are “public” posts and viewable by anyone on the web, so do keep personal information and things like vacation plans private by not posting here.   I realized in the past we may have shared.  If you will be away from the study, please just post that you will be offline for a window.  Blessings as we continue this study on Exodus.

Friday June 12, 2020 end of Revelation

Hello!  As things open up and we start hosting things in person again, I am realizing I will not be able to maintain a daily Bible time.

Please weigh in on how you feel.   What do you think about continuing with an online ongoing Bible study where at the beginning of the week, I post all the verses for the week by day.  Those who can jump on live to discuss, go for it.  I will likely pop in early or late in the day to add my comments before and after.  I love hearing everyones’ insights.  Thoughts?

I want to do the Exodus next…  wilderness time portion

Wednesday June 10 , 2020 Revelation 17 and Colossians 3

Hello!  I think we still have several verses from last Friday unexplored.  So let’s start there and then continue here.

Funny morning here.  I will jump on when I can.  Blessings

Colossians 3 is easily a passage to meditate on daily.  It is right in my top ten to motivate myself to godliness, to encourage myself to do as God wants me to do.     It blesses me, convicts me, encourages me, challenges me and shifts my focus to Christ.

Praise Report: God cares about the tiny things too

LOL.. So the boys were out back mounting a defensive against the invasive species that has hit our back yard.   A crucial tool was not working and some tinkering was required.  In the process a tiny (thin wire spring smaller than my pinky finger nail) got lost in the grass.   The boys were scouring the grass with magnets and apparently had been at it for a while when I arrived.   I asked if anyone had prayed. {Crickets} And prayed asking God to give us eyes to see this tiny little thing in a jungle of grass.    Literally within 2 seconds, my son spies it.    Never ever underestimate God or the power of the believing prayer.
