  1. Psalm 64 World English Bible (WEB)
For the Chief Musician. A Psalm by David.
64 Hear my voice, God, in my complaint.
Preserve my life from fear of the enemy.
2 Hide me from the conspiracy of the wicked,
    from the noisy crowd of the ones doing evil;
3 who sharpen their tongue like a sword,
and aim their arrows, deadly words,
4 to shoot innocent men from ambushes.
They shoot at him suddenly and fearlessly.
5 They encourage themselves in evil plans.
They talk about laying snares secretly.
They say, “Who will see them?”
6 They plot injustice, saying, “We have made a perfect plan!”
Surely man’s mind and heart are cunning.
7 But God will shoot at them.
They will be suddenly struck down with an arrow.
8 Their own tongues shall ruin them.
All who see them will shake their heads.
9 All mankind shall be afraid.
They shall declare the work of God,
and shall wisely ponder what he has done.
10 The righteous shall be glad in Yahweh,
and shall take refuge in him.
All the upright in heart shall praise him!

    • 4 Hear my voice, God, in my complaint.
Preserve my life from fear of the enemy.

I like that. Protection from fear.
      Rob

        • AMEN! They have been talking about how fear can actually lower your immune system. There was such a spirit of fear that rode in on this whole Coronavirus thing that we really had to stand against that. Speaking the scriptures to that thing is very effective. Romans 8:31 amp What then shall we say to all these things? If God is for us, who can be (successful) against us? So fear has no place in us or against us.

          • Yes speaking , declaring the scriptures with faith and boldness out loud has a prophetic creative component that brings things into manifestation… that we as co creators with Him can function in . I know the enemy wars against us ( me especially) in this area of our identity and the authority we’ve been given, to keep us passive but the Holy Spirit keeps reminding me to not to be restrained in this area! KC

      • Exodus 23:27 27″I will send my terror ahead of you and throw into confusion every nation you encounter. I will make all your enemies turn their backs and run.”

Not only does God want to protect us from all fear, dread, forbodings and anxiousness, He actually sends terror sna confusion into the peoples and nations that rise up against His people. WOW!!!!

        • Please don’t share, but many have certain things that they are irrationally afraid of. Spiders, ants, loud noises, etc… Once scripture becomes our source of truth, It has the power to release us from all fear. That is so so so encouraging. Brings me back to 1 John 3:2. Knowing God, knowing Jesus truly frees us from the domination and subjection to other lesser things that enslave us otherwise. He is just so so faithful.

    • This Psalm has been a personal favourite in this season. No doubt, many of you have heard of the many many conspiracy theories that abound in times like this . Here is the thing, there has never been a time in history where some man or many men somewhere didn’t plot against God’s agenda and plan. This has been true all through History. Regardless of what the present threat, source of dread and fear is, the statement that “He who is in us is greater” remains perfectly true. I have found this passage so comforting. To know that God is aware of all of those who plot evil and has sworn vengeance against them is of great comfort. It frees me to focus on having a relationship with Him and be about the assignments and plans for my day that He has laid out for my life without taking thought for the things that He is looking after better than I could dream or imagine.

    • 3 who sharpen their tongue like a sword,
and aim their arrows, deadly words,
4 to shoot innocent men from ambushes.
These verses speak of the power of the NEGATIVE tongue which I observe taking place every day. A war of hateful words, however verse 8 is totally encouraging my heart and reminding that God will deal with this Spirit at work especially as we decree its demise! KC

    • Good morning! Jumping in a bit late, out before the morning grocery rush. Glad to come back to the sanctuary of being with all of you.❤️

    • I know it might seem like a random throw in… Here is the thing… lack of revelation… lack of ability to see God’s plan and God’s agenda leads people to sin and lawlessness. I am praying that those who are being held captive by lack of vision are bombarded with godly messengers and prayers so that they can come into revelation and submit to the godly restraint that will save their souls and their lives. It is so easy to forget that those who “do” evil things are actually prisoners/puppets to the enemy. God wants them redeemed, and wants them to come into a knowledge of the truth. We must absolutely pursue destroying the “works of the devil” but never forget that the hands that often do the work, are not the author.

1 Timothy 2:4 King James Version (KJV)
4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.”

Here is the actual position of those doing things against God’s will
Romans 6:16 BSB “Do you not know that when you offer yourselves as obedient slaves, you are slaves to the one you obey, whether you are slaves to sin leading to death, or to obedience leading to righteousness?”

2 Timothy 2:25-26 King James Version (KJV) “25 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; 26 And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.”

      • This is a foundational truth. A First Principal. We need to have this imbedded deep within us. Understanding of The Father, Jesus our Saviour and King, Satan and this fallen world, we the family of God and our purpose in His plan. Our destiny. It is all in this principal.
        Rob

      • Yes exactly. That’s what Paul makes so clear in Ephesians that we are not fighting against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers. Those things which have taken captive and blinded and cause people to be deaf against the things of God. Eph 6:12 I just heard this morning that Franklin Graham and his charity of Samaritans Purse has been told to leave New York City. They had set up a hospital in Central Park and were caring for people there. They have been told that their charity has no place in New York that they are not welcome there. Those are principalities we want to see brought down.

      • Yes Lisa I am praying exactly in the same way … eyes opened and ears that have been stopped up opened with the ability to hear when the Word of God is spoken. I woke up today with this in my mind. “ FAITH comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God”. If people have been deafened .. they cannot come to Faith. KC

  2. 2 Hide me from the conspiracy of the wicked,
    from the noisy crowd of the ones doing evil;
3 who sharpen their tongue like a sword,
and aim their arrows, deadly words,
4 to shoot innocent men from ambushes.

Does that ever describe the atmosphere of this age. Using technology to target, destroy, shame and retaliate in all walks of like, elementary/high school to older ages. God, give us the ears, eyes and heart only for you.
    Rob

      • I love in verse 9” Then all men will fear(God’s judgment); They will declare the work of God, and they will consider and wisely acknowledge what He has done.” I love that they will “WISELY acknowledge”. After they witness God’s workings and judgment they realize that they need to acknowledge Him or they could be subject to the same fate. Then verse 10 “The righteous will rejoice in the Lord and take refuge in Him; All the upright in heart will glory and offer praise.” That is who I want to be “the upright in heart” and I want to take my refuge in Him, that is the only truly safe place.

  3. Book of Revelation… God’s goodness and faithfulness as seen in this final book. Please let me know which chapters you would like to focus on as clearly the whole book will be a bit too long.

    Revelation 2 (WEB)
2 “To the angel of the assembly in Ephesus write:

“He who holds the seven stars in his right hand, he who walks among the seven golden lamp stands says these things:

2 “I know your works, and your toil and perseverance, and that you can’t tolerate evil men, and have tested those who call themselves apostles, and they are not, and found them false. 3 You have perseverance and have endured for my name’s sake, and have not grown weary. 4 But I have this against you, that you left your first love. 5 Remember therefore from where you have fallen, and repent and do the first works; or else I am coming to you swiftly, and will move your lamp stand out of its place, unless you repent. 6 But this you have, that you hate the works of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate. 7 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies. To him who overcomes I will give to eat from the tree of life, which is in the Paradise of my God.

8 “To the angel of the assembly in Smyrna write:

“The first and the last, who was dead, and has come to life says these things:

9 “I know your works, oppression, and your poverty (but you are rich), and the blasphemy of those who say they are Jews, and they are not, but are a synagogue of Satan. 10 Don’t be afraid of the things which you are about to suffer. Behold, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested; and you will have oppression for ten days. Be faithful to death, and I will give you the crown of life. 11 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies. He who overcomes won’t be harmed by the second death.”

    • Rev 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door [of the church] and continually knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him (restore him), and he with Me. 21 He who overcomes [the world through believing that Jesus is the Son of God], I will grant to him [the privilege] to sit beside Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down beside My Father on His throne.

This verse is one my most personal meaningful. Inviting Him in and having a relationship. Having an open door to experiencing His overwhelming overcoming in my life as He has overcome. Its on the wall of our great room.
      Rob

    • . 4 But I have this against you, that you left your first love.
There may be much in Revelations that is harder to understand and that the Holy Spirit will make clearer but this verse is something that I always want to come back to and ask myself. “ Has That first excitement gratitude sense of JOY and freedom that filled me with Love for my saviour when I first met Him and brought salvation to me… has that waned? Have I lost my first love ? Going back to that time of being a baby believer and what happened in my heart then and making sure I fan that flame and keep it alive is something I want to continually do .KC

      • Maybe that is why He says that we must become as little children. Because when we were first believers we were like little children, innocent and trusting and joyful, filled with the love of Him who saved us.

    • vs 9 -11 . These verses remind me that eternity is much much. LOL.. If you have heard me or know me, you know that preaching hell and eternal destruction is NOT a central focus. However, verses like this one do tell me that it is very very important to keep what we are dealing with today in the context of eternity. If we are able to cling to the gospel and to the Lord, regardless of what we go through, eternal life will be as one crowned with the crown of life. There is a second death that it much much more fearsome and far more greatly to be avoided than any form of torture or death that we can suffer on earth. I honestly do not comprehend nor do I have a fixed theology about hell… other than it is something to be avoided…. My focus is fixed on what is promised here…. Eternal life with the Lord in the New Earth… free from sin, sickness, pain and death.

I had Crohn’s disease for a long time (18 plus years). I have lived with pain and suffered torments that I could not turn off or escape as a mere human. I am so so thankful to know that God can and wants to set each and everyone free from these mental and physical torments .

I know now that life doesn’t stop when this body stops breathing and my soul vacates. ETERNAL PERSPECTIVE I think is a key to being able to endure and finish our races well.

  4. Vs 7.‘ He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes, I will grant to eat of the tree of life which is in the Paradise of God.’ I want to have an ear to hear!!!!

Love to you all, see you on Zoom tomorrow.
