Dear Brothers and Sisters, I will expand on this post with scriptures. Here is a short video to start you off Communion Video . I recognize this is something that is lovely to do as a church family, but in light of the times, many will not have that opportunity. There is a different kind of beauty and intimacy in taking communion at home, and something that can be powerful and very encouraging . Here is a super easy recipe that I got from my friend Jan that works beautifully. No yeast:)
Bannock
Serving: 1
Ingredients
- 1 C shortening (beef grease) (I use olive oil instead)
- 3⁄4 Tbsp salt
- 2 1⁄2 C hot water
- 8 C flour
Directions
Put flour in large bowl, make a hollow in centre and pour hot water and shortening into the centre. Add salt, mix well till stiff enough to roll. Roll in flat 1/4″ circles (size of pie crust). Prick with fork on both sides. Bake in oven on the racks till light brown on both sides. (turning and flipping to brown evenly).
350 to 400 – 8 – 10 minutes depending on oven
