Antidote to Fear

1 John 4:18 Darby Bible Translation  “There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear; for fear has torment, and he that fears has not been made perfect in love.”

Dear Brothers and Sisters…   With the events in the world at this moment, there is no better time for us to cling to our Father and meditate on His Word.

For those who know Him intimately, these next weeks may well provide us with extra opportunities and stronger drive to press in to Him in intimate communion.  For those, who are not as confident in their alone time with Him, I encourage you to check out the Healing is Here 2019 and 2018 from Andrew Wommack’s ministry on youtube.   Both of these are a great encouragement and can give you a solid foundation as well as build us up in the Lord.  I can personally watch each video multiple times and get more out of them each time.   There are hours of encouragement here.

I believe that this is an awesome opportunity to press into, to grow in intimacy and confident trust.    It is kind of a strange way to think of it, but I believe these tribulations and pressures are windows of preparation, dress rehearsals for the future seasons and things we will face in Christ.   He IS FAITHFUL.    He will never fail us for forsake.   Many of us have lived semi complacently in separation from our God.  That these days would drive us right into the throne room of His love, mercy and grace…   He has so much more for us all.   The two verses He has laid on my own heart are Psalm 91 and Isaiah 58.    I attached my own amended version of the Psalm 91 to how I have personalized it for my own prayer times.    Blessings.

Healing is Here 2018

Psalm 91 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC)

[Dear Heavenly Father, how I long to be one ]who dwells in {Your} secret place,  of You, the Most High shall remain stable and fixed under Your shadow,  Almighty God [Whose power no foe can withstand].

2 I will say of the Lord, You are my Refuge and my Fortress, my God; on You I lean and rely, and in You I [confidently] trust!

3 For [then] You will deliver me from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence.

4 [Then] You will cover me with Your feathers, and under Your wings shall I trust and find refuge; Your truth and Your faithfulness are my shield and my buckler.

5 I shall not be afraid of the terror of the night, nor of the arrow (the evil plots and slanders of the wicked) that flies by day,

6 Nor of the pestilence that stalks in darkness, nor of the destruction and sudden death that surprise and lay waste at noonday.

7 A thousand may fall at my side, and ten thousand at my right hand, but it shall not come near me.

Only a spectator shall I be [myself inaccessible in Your secret place, O Lord Most High] as I witness the reward of the wicked.  {I usually pray for mercy and salvation for my neighbours etc  here}

9 Because I have made My Lord My refuge, and the Most High my dwelling place,

10 There shall no evil befall me, nor any plague or calamity come near my tent.

11 For You will give Your angels [especial] charge over me to accompany and defend and preserve me in all my ways [of obedience and service].

12 They shall bear me up on their hands, lest I dash my foot against a stone.

13 I shall tread upon the lion and adder; the young lion and the serpent shall I trample underfoot.

14 Because I have  set my love upon  You, therefore will You deliver me; You will set me on high, because I knows and understand Your name [has a personal knowledge of Your mercy, love, and kindness—trusts and relies on You, knowing You will never forsake , me, never].

15 I shall call upon You, and You will answer me; You  will be with me in trouble, You will deliver me  and honor me.

16 With long life will You satisfy me and show me Your salvation.”   AMPC  modified to make it personal to my own heart.
