Hebrews 4:2 “For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.”

Mark 7:13 “Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye.”

I think these verses give us something to think about.   While no one can void the power in the Word of God, these verses do imply that we can nullify the benefits and promises by:

1. not believing (did not profit them, not being mixed with faith)

2. nullified by our traditions, established human practice

Food for my mind to ponder….

A simple prayer:

Dear Papa, please show me where my traditions and/or lack of faith is hindering your Word from operating fully in my life.   In Jesus Christ name.
